Emirates Hospital 4^th Anniversary

Emirates Hospital in Jumeirah celebrated its 4Th Year anniversary at Safa Park last Thursday (29th March 2007). The celebration started by a speech delivered by Mr. Khaled Sawaf, The Managing Partner of Emirates Hospital, followed by awarding staff for their outstanding performance and open buffet and games. Following is extract of Mr. Sawaf’s speech.

“We are a small hospital in terms of our size but not in terms of our impact to our community and to our patients who depend on our honest and professional advice 24 hours a day. We all have earned the right to be proud of our achievements. I will give you some facts: We have registered 40,000 patients since we opened four years ago. We have performed over 8,500 surgeries without a single mortality Wal Hamdu Li Allah (Thanks God).

We have completed 14 surgeries today, the day of our anniversary. Seven of the 14 surgeries are considered to be major operations lasting more than two hours each. We are doing general surgery, Bariatric surgery, Laparoscopic genecology including laparoscopic hysterectomies, knee replacements, hand surgery and discectomies. We are the best at gastric bands (by far we do more gastric bands than any other hospital in all of the UAE and with superior results), we are pioneers in the advancement of the safe insertion of gastric balloons.

We are doing Urology (TURP) surgery. We are doing all common ENT cases such as Septoplasty and Fess surgery. We are also known as THE place for plastic surgery. In fact, we are so good at plastic surgery that some erroneously think that we just do plastic surgery!! We have become the favourite choice for virtually all credible plastic surgeons in Dubai since many of their patients prefer our experience and our specialized nursing care. We are also proud that all of our seven CosmeSurge surgeons do their surgeries at EH including Dr Sabet, Dr Afif, Dr Sahar Kazzaz, Dr Sahar Kadi, Dr Gabriel, Dr Atf and Dr Harley.
