Mr Khalifa Bin Butti is an Entrepreneur and Investor from the United Arab Emirates. He has been appointed Chairman of CosmeSurge and Emirates Hospital in 2014. His successful career has commenced in Finance when he joined ADNOC after graduating from University of Suffolk, Boston. He went from there to start his own investment firm, KBBO Group in 2004.
From a humble beginning, Mr Khalifa has grown his business to become one of the most successful investment groups in Abu Dhabi with a diversified portfolio of 2 startups and multiple acquisitions in the fields of finance, real estate, healthcare, trading, defence and technology. Throughout his career, he has chaired and managed multiple reputable organizations.
He currently holds the title of chairman for KBBO Group, Bin Butti International Holding, One Financial Markets UK, Infinite Investments, Travelex. He is also the Executive Vice Chairman of Centurion Investments and previously held the role of Vice Chairman for NMC for 3 years.
Pramod Balakrishnan is our Chief Executive Officer who joined the company in august 2015. Pramod is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant from India with 25 years of experience in the Middle East, a career spread over Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
After working initially for the TATA group in India he moved to the middle-east and has worked in industries ranging from oil & gas services, FMCG distribution, bottling for Pepsi, manufacturing of tyres, shipping and healthcare. Pramod has joined CSEH from Al Noor Hospitals Group Plc., where as CFO he successfully led the listing of the company on the LSE. Prior to that he has held senior leadership positions in companies such as the Inchcape Group in Muscat, Ali Bin Ali in Doha, Jumbo and Topaz Energy and Marine in Dubai. Whilst at Jumbo, Pramod was also a Board member of Dunlop India Limited.
Pramod’s strength lies in his understanding of the region, his people management skills in a multicultural environment, experience in corporate finance and M&As, and his experience in developing and implementing growth strategies for companies and enhancing stakeholder value.
Hala Bhat brings with her a wealth of experience in the realm of medical services and the marketing and branding of such facilities.
Currently, she serves as Chief Marketing Officer for the Emirates Hospital Group and spearheads all initiatives in Brand management, marketing communications (including advertising, promotions and Public relations), IT, advanced Digital education, market research, product development and customer service.
Backed by a team of exceptionally talented people, Hala has taken on the challenge of streamlining all these avenues to build Emirates Hospital into a frontline operation and a name to reckon with in keeping with the UAE’s high standards of medical systems. Prior to joining EHG, Hala served with distinction at the Harvard Medical School (DHCC) where in her capacity as Communication Consultant she was responsible for building and maintaining the public image of the organization, an enterprise she took to new heights. Armed with strong analytical and communication skills, she brings to the table 16 years of experience in the art and science of marketing and business management from both public and private sectors.
Having developed successful marketing platforms in substantial organizations like Mubadala and Dubai Healthcare City, Hala is confident that her present assignment will once again showcase her capabilities and she is keenly looking forwards to the future building of this brand and giving it a tangible added value on the country’s medical infrastructure.
Dr. Walid Achi is our Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Achi initially joined our company business in 2009 as the director of human resources and patient relations and chief of staff and became our chief operating officer of our Medical segment in 2012. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Achi served as medical director and chief of surgery at Al Salam Hospital, the largest private hospital in Damascus, Syria.
Prior to his tenure at Al Salam Hospital, Dr. Achi was a laparoscopic general surgeon at Belhoul European Hospital in Dubai for 11 years and served as the medical director of the hospital from 2003 to 2008. Dr. Achi specialized in general surgery at Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France.
Dr. Maan Jamal is the Medical Director of the Emirates Hospital. Dr. Maan is a Consultant Pulmonologist, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine with the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Pulmonology. Dr. Jamal completed his residency training at the reputable Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. He has a fellowship and sub-specialty training in Pulmonary diseases, Critical care at the University of Southern Illinois in Springfield, Illinois, USA. Dr. Jamal has lectured on different topics in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical care and Sleep medicine and was an Assistant professor at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine.
Dr. Jamal practiced in Kentucky and Michigan for 15 years and recently as the head of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Departments at the largest Private hospital in Doha, Qatar.
Alison Harvey is our Chief of Quality, Risk and Compliance. Alison began working with CSEH in May 2009 as chief operating officer of our CosmeSurge center in Abu Dhabi City, Abu Dhabi and Emirates Hospital for One Day Surgery and became the Group director of quality and risk management in July 2010. Prior to her employment with CSEH, Ms. Harvey worked as senior nursing director for a number of hospitals and healthcare facilities in London, Iraq, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Ms. Harvey has extensive experience and has been involved in quality implementation through participation and leadership of Kings Fund Audit and Health Quality Services accreditation for hospitals in the UK, JCI accreditation for hospitals in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and Dubai Quality Awards, JCI accreditation and ISO 15189 accreditation in the UAE. Alison earned her diploma in health services management, a post-graduate certificate in business administration and a master’s in business administration with a focus on health administration, from Greenwich and Leicester Universities in the UK. Alison is a trained EFQM assessor and certified project manager.
Nisrine Abou Fadel is our Chief Nursing Officer and has served as our CNO since February 2013. Prior to her employment with us, Nisrine worked as a Clinical Operations and Senior Nursing Manager for a number of healthcare facilities in Dubai, KSA and Lebanon.
Nisrine holds certifications in project management and risk management, has an internal auditor certification for ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001, and is an American Heart Association training centre faculty. She earned a Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing from the American University of Beirut and a Masters Degree in Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Jagannath Rout has been the Chief Financial Officer of CosmeSurge and Emirates Hospital Group since June 2013. Prior to his employment with CSEH Group, Mr. Rout worked at KPMG, where he managed a group of teams in various industry sectors such as healthcare, construction, oil and gas and real estate. Prior to KPMG, Mr Rout worked in international consulting and audit firms in India including Ernst & Young LLP. Mr Rout has more than 17 years of experience providing advisory, statutory and internal audit and other consulting services to multinational companies (including various local manufacturing and service industries in India). Mr. Rout is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and a Qualified Cost and Management Accountant from India.
Mr. Rout plays a crucial leadership role in the management team of CSEH. He oversees Treasury, Procurement, Legal, Information Technology, Corporate Finance and Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management. He also supports the Chief Executive Officer with planning and execution across the Business Segments.
Dr Dania Alsammarae is responsible for operations at all hospitals and clinics under the Emirates Hospital Group across the GCC and for the management of a robust growth strategy that consists of commissioning over 10 new facilities in the next 24 months. Prior to joining Emirates Hospital Group, she was a co-founder and MD/COO- Premium and Specialty Segments at Anglo Arabian Healthcare, an integrated healthcare network operating in the UAE.
Dr Alsammarae began her career as a physician before transitioning to strategy and business development at Pfizer and Booz & Company. At Pfizer, she worked as an internal strategy and business development consultant to the regional headquarters’ leadership team serving the Middle East and Africa region. Her core focus was on developing the Generics portfolio through the development of local partnerships and on conducting portfolio optimization analysis and implementation of recommendations across the region. At Booz& Co, she worked as a healthcare strategy and management consultant based in the Dubai office working on feasibility studies, business plans and strategy and concept designs for projects ranging from medical cities to hospitals across the GCC. Dr Alsammarae is a US citizen of Iraqi heritage.
