Dr. Mohamed Sadik our Specialist Neonatologist and Head of NICU at Emirates Hospital earned his M.D. in Paediatrics from M.S.Ramaiah Medical College & teaching hospital, Bangalore, India in 2003 and pursued his interest in the field of neonatology in the same hospital. Further more, he also has obtained a Post Graduate degree in Healthcare Management and Leadership from Westford University – UK.
He joined Latifa Hospital- DHA (one of the biggest neonatal units in Middle East) as a neonatologist in the year 2005. During his 7 years tenure, he gained vast experience in handling and managing all sort of neonatal cases & providing all facets of Neonatal care including care for infants with extreme prematurity, neonatal jaundice, multi-disciplinary long term follow-up, as well as a neonatal retrieval service.
In his previous roles Dr. Sadik was head of the Neonatology and Paediatric unit at the Al Garhoud Private hospital. During his tenure, he has been taking care of all neonatal and paediatric cases and has an excellent reputation for the same.
His special interests include – extreme preterm neonates, late preterm neonates, preterm nutrition and their care after discharge.
He is also a STABLE course and NRP instructor and used to conduct regular STABLE courses for nurses and doctors in Dubai while also being actively involved as a speaker & course provider in “The Neonatal Ventilation & Care Symposium” , “Arab Neonatal congress ” held in the years 2009 – 2014 which was attended by many neonatologists from all over UAE and Middle East. In addition to this he has been actively involved in organizing various neonatal conferences in Dubai as well.
